Kollywood super star Kamal Hassan, who is known for his plain talk hits the news headlines stating that convicting death sentence to rapists, would be committing another crime.
Death sentence is nothing but a legalized crime. So, I oppose government committing a crime to punish another crime.
Rapists indeed deserve a severe punishment but not a death sentence.”

NTR – Santosh Srinivas movie title confirmed!

Our readers are aware that Young Tiger NTR had okayed a script narrated by Kandireega fame Santosh Srinivas.
The movie will go on to sets in March and will be shot simultaneously with Harish Shankar movie.  The makers are reportedly considering ‘NTR Rabasa’ as the title of the movie.
NTR will be romancing two heroines in the movie. Samantha is one of them and the other heroine is yet to be confirmed.
Bellamkonda Suresh will be producing this movie under his Sri Sai Ganesh movies banner.

Balayya gives chance to young Music director

JB who provided music for a small movie like Bus Stop had bagged a huge oppurtunity. The young man is all set to score music for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming movie to be directed by Chinni Krishna, JB had reportedly already recorded a song for the movie which impressed the actor and director.
The movie  in which Balayya will be seen as Tough cop, will go on to sets in January.
Chinna Krishna earlier worked as VV Vinayak assistant for many of his block buster movies.
This project will be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on his Sri Sai Ganesh movies banner.

No more bold scenes for Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan

Yes you read it right! Both Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan are uncomfortable in doing bold scenes post marriage. Newly married Kareena and Vidya were offered Tigmanshu Dhulia’s biopic Begum Samru but both the heroines said no to Dhulia because of the film’s hot and bold content.
Tigmanshu Dhulia told a leading daily that his film is set in the 1840s and will be based on a Hindi novel. He says that he wrote the script a few years ago. And is looking to rope in an international studio for the movie. Dhulia further added, “That will ensure I don’t face any censor issues in terms of satellite rights.
That being said, I did approach Kareena and Vidya but they weren’t comfortable with the script.” Begum Samru is a historical character who started her career as a dancing girl in 18th Century India, and eventually became the ruler of Sardhana, a small principality near Meerut. Later on, she played a key role in the political power struggle in 18th and 19th century India.

Mohan Babu, Sunil to team up for a remake

Veteran actor Mohan Babu and Comedian turned Hero Sunil are likely to team up for the Telugu remake of Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor starrer Welcome, if the latest rumours are to be believed. Welcome, which released back in 2007, was a huge hit in Hindi and as per the latest buzz in Filmnagar, the Telugu version is expected to go on floors in early 2013.
Srivas, who had earlier directed Lakshyam, might direct this remake and Mohan Babu might produce the film himself. In the past, Mohan Babu had acted in Game, which was a remake of Taxi No 9211. This is the first time that Mohan Babu and Sunil are teaming up to play the lead roles in an action comedy. More details about the cast and crew are going to be announced soon.

Salman Khan will marry after Jodhpur, Mumbai court verdicts

The entire nation have been crazy surrounding superstar Salman Khan’s much-anticipated wedding. Though at 46, Salman is still quite a stud and a very hot and happening bachelor, but his fans desperately wants him to settle down with his dream woman. Now, it looks like Sallu is all set to fulfill hi fans’ wishes.
Salman Khan, who is currently juggling between 2 legal cases, one the 2002 hit and run case and the other is the blackbuck poaching case, confirmed his wedding. Salman told a leading website that he will get married only after the “courts give their verdicts.” He also confirmed that if the the court’s verdict goes against him, he will marry after coming out the jail.
I hope to be acquitted in both cases, but if I marry before the verdicts, will it be fair? Suppose, if there is a turn of events and I am sent to jail, and my wife has to come with our child to meet me in jail. Will it be fair?,” joked the actor. Well, now we really wonder, if Sallu was serious or it was just a joke.

Farewell to Telugu Superstar

Super Star Krishna,  he is credited with producing many technological firsts in Telugu film Industry like the first cinemascope movie (Alluri Seetharama Raju), first 70mm movie (Simhasanam), first DTS Movie (Telugu Veera Levara) and introducing cowboy and James Bond styles to the Telugu screen. Krishna has directed 17 feature films and produced many films under Padmalaya Film Studio, a production house owned by him and he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Congress party in 1989.
In 2009, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian Cinema. All these years, Krishna has entertained Telugu audience with his unforgettable performances in many movies and now the superstar has called it a day for the film. Yes, Super Star Krishna has said that he has planned to quit acting further. Though his presence on the silver screen will be missed, Krishna will be always remembered as the First Super Star of Telugu Film Industry.

Tanikela Bharani to wear black dress till gang-rape victim gets justice

Well known actor Tanikela Bharani said that he will be wearing black dress to protest against the gang-rape of 23-year-old paramedical student in New Delhi.
He  condemned the lathicharge on the women who were protesting against the gang-rape at Rastrapathi Bhavan.
Expressing solidarity with the rape victim, the actor said he would wear only black dress till the accused were hanged, he said it in a interview to a news channel.

Trisha finally debuting in Kannada

Trisha Krishnan, one of the top actresses in South Indian film industries, is finally making her debut in Sandalwood. The 29-year-old is ready to enter Kannada films with bang in a trilingual film. The actress has herself confirmed the news to a leading daily. Trisha Krishnan has said that she is acting in a Kannada film titled RUM (Ramba Urvashi Menake).
The film will be simultaneously shot in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. RUM is produced by MS Raju, one of the leading names in Telugu film industry. Trisha Krishnan claims that she has been getting many big offers from Sandalwood but she could not sign for one or the other reasons. Finally, she is making her debut in RUM, which is a female-oriented project.
Trisha Krishnan ends on the note that it is new territory and excited about the prospect. However, other details about the project are yet to be revealed.

Mani Ratnam’s Kadal Release Date Confirmed

Mani Ratnam’s Kadal is getting ready to entertain the Tamil audience in 2013. The film, which kick-started the shooting in March 2012, will hit the screens on February 1. If reports are to be believed, Mani Ratnam’s Kadal will be released on February 1.
As there are many big films including Kamal Hassan’s Vishwaroopam releasing in January, the makers of the film have decided to release the forthcoming Tamil film in February. However, the official confirmation is yet to arrive from the movie bosses. Meanwhile, the audio of the movie,
which was released on December 15, has been getting good response for the album from audience.
The film has seven songs penned by Vairamuthu, Madan Karky, and Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam. The Mani and Rahman combination have worked well this time too. However, Kadal marks the debut of Gautham, the son of actor Karthik, and Thulasi, the daughter of actress Radha. The latter was roped in after Samantha walked out of the film citing date issues. The forthcoming movie also features Arjun Sarja, Arvind Swamy and Lakshmi Manchu in important roles.

M S Raju’s RUM set to go on floors in January

Producer MS Raju has recently registered a distinct title RUM that stands for Rambha Urvashi Menaka and now, the regular shooting of the movie will kick-start from January 2013.
This is a female-centric movie and casts three leading ladies Trisha, Poorna and Archana.
Informing the news, Trisha tweeted, ““Will be doing MS Raju sirs film ‘RUM’ from Jan 2013…Its a trilingual and heroine centric…Lookn fwd.
The film is said to be a Contemporary one and not related to a princess or warrior style as the name says.
Other details of the movie are yet to be announced by the director cum producer MS Raju.

Ram Charan’s Nayak in Tamil too

Ram Charan Teja, the star who has won the hearts of Kollywood audiences with his Maaveeran is all set to release his upcoming movie Naayak in Tamil simultaneously with the Telugu version on January 9.
Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul are playing the female leads for Ram Charan in Naayak that will enjoy a special number sizzled by Charmi. Naayak enjoys the compositions tuned by SS Thaman, while Chota K Naidu has handled the camera among the technical crew.
Directed by VV Vinayak, Naayak Tamil distribution rights are bagged by Abhirami Movies in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Meanwhile, Ram Charan and Genelia starred Telugu movie Orange is gearing up to woo Tamil audiences from December 28.
